Auto dealership ready to meet, exceed customers' needs

This is a great time to get to know your neighbors at Gee Cadillac-Kia in Coeur d'Alene.

Brandon Shinneman, Gee Cadillac-Kia's new general manager, invites community members to stop by the dealership at the intersection of U.S. 95 and Dalton Avenue.

He's excited for people to become familiar with the new Cadillac and Kia models he has on the lot, and wants to hear what community members think after they've been behind the wheel of one of these new cars.

“Come in and drive any new Kia or Cadillac, and provide feedback, and you'll be entered for a chance to win two Mariners Diamond Club tickets,” Shinneman said.

The drawing is July 31, and the winner will enjoy VIP treatment at a Mariners game on Aug. 4 when the Mariners play the Blue Jays, with food, drinks and special parking.

There are other great incentives for new car buyers at Gee Cadillac-Kia.

“We're offering up to 120 percent Kelly Blue Book value on trade-ins through the end of this month,” he said.

Buyers will also enjoy employee pricing. They will pay the same price as employees pay when buying a new Kia or Cadillac.

New car buyers get to experience Gee Cadillac-Kia's award-winning service that comes standard with their sales package.

“We include first-year maintenance on any vehicle purchase at no charge,” Shinneman said.

Exciting new Kia and Cadillac models include the Kia Niro and the Cadillac XT5, Shinneman said.

The Kia Niro, a crossover, gets 51 miles to the gallon. The 2018 Niro won ALG's residual value award for alt-fuel vehicles, an award indicative of a car's overall value based on quality, durability and brand desirability.

“Kia has their amazing summer sales event going on now with lease payments starting at $179 per month,” Shinneman said.

Kia vehicles come with a 10-year/100,000 mile warranty, one of the best in the industry.

The XT5 is Cadillac's industry-leading mid-size SUV, and Gee Cadillac-Kia is the only luxury brand dealership for Cadillac in Kootenai County.

Shinneman took over leadership of the Coeur d'Alene dealership in April, but he is no stranger to North Idaho, the automotive industry or Gee Automotive. Born and raised in North Idaho, he has 13 years of experience in the industry and is known for his ability to build meaningful and lasting relationships with customers.

“That's what we're all about at Gee Automotive. We've been serving people in the Northwest since 1983, providing friendly, transparent, hassle-free service while meeting the community's automotive needs,” Shinneman said.

Gee Automotive got its start 35 years ago when George Gee fulfilled his dream of starting a Pontiac dealership in Spokane. Since then, the business relocated to new facilities in Liberty Lake and added GMC.

The company's theme has always been about families helping families, and while Gee Automotive has grown to include 27 dealerships in the Northwest, it remains a family business.

George and Theresa Gee's son, Ryan Gee, worked his way up and has been the CEO since 2003.

Building on his parents' legacy, under Ryan's watch, the company grew to include Buick, Porsche and Mercedes in Spokane, Kia in Spokane and Coeur d'Alene and Cadillac in Coeur d'Alene.

In 2017, Gee Automotive acquired the 13 dealerships and associated businesses of the Tonkin Group in the Portland, Oregon area.

Gee Automotive now has 1,300 employees meeting customers' automotive needs throughout the Northwest.

But each dealership prides itself on being part of the community where it's located.

Shinneman said, in Coeur d'Alene, his sales staff is long-tenured, with years of experience in identifying customers' needs and helping them find the best vehicles for their families.

“Our goal is to not only meet our customers' needs, but to exceed them,” Shinneman said. “We are committed to excellence, to being a dealership you can trust and even enjoy.”

To get to know Gee Cadillac-Kia, visit the dealership at 317 W. Dalton Ave.

Hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturdays; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sundays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
