COEUR d’ALENE — It was a solid first half for the North Idaho College men’s soccer team, building a 2-0 lead.

Then it got a little hairy in the second half.

Cade Roske, Conner Kinnune and Parker Gorrill had a goal and assist each for the Cardinals in a 5-3 win over the Wenatchee Valley Knights in Northwest Athletic Conference play at Eisenwinter Field on Wednesday.

“It was a full game of attacking soccer,” NIC coach Ken Thompson said. “We created our best chances in the first 20 minutes. In the second half, things got a little wilder. We had a couple of fouls in the first 10 minutes, a coach was ejected. It was a really entertaining game.”
