Archer, a senior, won the 100-yard backstroke in 51.64 seconds, helping the Trojan boys to a seventh-place finish in the state swimming meet on Nov. 4 at the Boise City Aquatics Center. “I wanted to go out really strong. I’ve always loved the backstroke. It’s always been my favorite event. It has been my fastest event, and the one I feel the best in the water in. When I woke up on Saturday, I was just in the right state of mind. I had a positive mindset and was thinking about how I could win and come out on top.”
