LONGVIEW, Wash. — Ronnie Harris scored 15 points for the Cardinals in a semifinal win over the Devils in the Lower Columbia Holiday Classic.

NIC outscored Lower Columbia 25-12 in the third quarter, and held on late for the win.

NIC will face Umpqua in the championship game today.

“Our defense was really solid all the way tonight,” NIC coach Chris Carlson said. “It was a nip and tuck game and to take control in the second half was really big for us. It’s tough to win on their court.”

Cierra Dvorak added 10 points and Shelby Jordan seven points for NIC (9-2).

Umpqua beat NIC in the Bellevue Holiday Classic on Dec. 2 85-80.

“It’s going to be a fun matchup,” Carlson said. “They’re unbeaten and the top ranked team in the polls. It should be a great game.”
