Hatley, Bayley make cut for match play at PNGA
DUPONT, Wash. — Reid Hatley of Hayden Lake and Derek Bayley of Rathdrum made the cut for the 64-man match play bracket at the Pacific Northwest Golf Association men’s amateur championship at The Home Course.
Hatley, the No. 7 seed, will face No. 58 seed Evan Gallando of Normandy Park, Wash. in the Round of 64 today. Bayley, the No. 23 seed, will face No. 42 Daniel Stamper of Puyallup, Wash.
Hatley tied for seventh in the 36-hole stroke play portion of the tournament, shooting 72-68—140. Bayley tied for 20th, shooting 74-69—143.
Graysen Huff, a rising senior at Auburn and a former Eagle High standout, shot 65-66—131 to earn medalist honors by five strokes.
ELEVEN SPORTS to air Idaho football Big Sky opener
OGDEN, Utah — Idaho football’s official return to the Big Sky Conference will be nationally televised by ELEVEN SPORTS, the league and network announced Monday. The Vandals’ Big Sky opener at UC Davis Sept. 22, was selected as one of 10 games to air on ELEVEN SPORTS this fall.
This marks the fourth Idaho football game of the 2018 season that has been picked up by a Big Sky television partner. The Vandals will appear on the ROOT Sports Game of the Week three times this fall: at Montana State on Oct. 13, at Eastern Washington Oct. 27 and the home finale against Montana Nov. 10.
ROOT Sports announced Idaho’s Oct. 13 matchup at Montana State will kick off at 1 p.m. PDT in Bozeman, Mont. Start times for the remaining games on ROOT Sports will be announced following the release of the NBA schedule, slated for mid-August.
Television selections for regional networks, including SWX, will be announced in the coming weeks. Kick times for all other games will be decided by the television rights holders (if applicable), in conjunction with the Big Sky Conference and participating institutions. No Big Sky football game, televised or not, can kick off within 45 minutes before or after the start of the ROOT Sports Game of the Week.
ELEVEN SPORTS will broadcast one Big Sky football game per week from Sept. 15 through Nov. 17, as well as one men’s basketball game of the week throughout the season. For the second straight year, ELEVEN SPORTS will broadcast the quarterfinals and semifinals of the men’s basketball championship as well as the women’s basketball semifinals and championship game. The conference’s women’s soccer, volleyball and softball semifinals and championship games will also be televised on ELEVEN SPORTS.
ELEVEN SPORTS is available on DirecTV channel 623, Verizon Fios channel 597 and AT&T U-verse channel 1665. All ELEVEN SPORTS productions of the Big Sky Conference will also be available on WatchBigSky.com and Pluto TV. Game times set for
Game times have been set for all of Eastern Washington University’s football games this fall.
Recently, ROOT Sports set the times of most of their Big Sky Conference game broadcasts, including a noon start Pacific time when Eastern hosts Southern Utah on Oct. 6. Eastern’s home game versus returning Big Sky member Idaho on Oct. 27 will be televised at either 3 p.m. or noon. The exact time will be determined at a later date based on other ROOT Sports programming that day.
Eastern’s home games versus Cal Poly on Sept. 22 and Nov. 10 against UC Davis will start at 1 p.m., as will EWU’s previously announced non-league game versus Central Washington on Sept. 1.
The Eagles will also play on ROOT against Montana State on Sept. 29, and that game will start at 1 p.m. Pacific time. Eastern’s game at Weber State on Oct. 13 will be telecast by Eleven Sports and begin at 3 p.m. Pacific time.
Eastern’s game at Northern Colorado Nov. 3 will start at 11 a.m., and EWU’s non-conference game at Northern Arizona Sept. 8 will start at 3 p.m.
Game times at Washington State (5 p.m. on Sept. 15) and Portland State (7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16) have previously been announced.
