Prospective graduate students in North Idaho interested in graduate school options that do not require relocation can learn about them at a Graduate Program Fair that will be held March 5 in Coeur d'Alene.

The event is 4-6:30 p.m. at the Harbor Center, 1031 N. Academic Way.

Programs will be showcased from a variety of universities including Boise State, Eastern Washington, Gonzaga, Idaho State, University of Idaho, Washington State, Webster and Whitworth.

A 5:30 p.m. workshop will teach tips for applying to graduate school.

"The Graduate Program Fair will provide working professionals with an opportunity to explore a variety of graduate programs," explained Becky Byers, coordinator of Recruiting and Advising for the University of Idaho, Coeur d'Alene. "Students currently working on a bachelor's degree program can also visit with university representatives in order to plan ahead for a future graduate degree."

Byers decided to spearhead the event after noticing a local demand for graduate school options. Coeur d'Alene is home to many undergraduate students who attend North Idaho College, University of Idaho, and Lewis-Clark State College.
