Electronic cigarettes safer than traditional ones

Print Article

"Electronic cigarettes were found to be 'much safer' than traditional tobacco ones, and had a level of toxicity similar to existing nicotine replacements." (A study by researchers at the Boston University School of Public Health in 2010.)

The study also concluded that e-cigs were safer than real cigarettes and may assist an individual to stop smoking and change to a healthier lifestyle.

They also found that the level of carcinogens in e-cigs was found to be up to 1,000 times lower than regular cigarettes.

The real harm from real cigarettes comes from the tobacco smoke and the hundreds of additional chemicals therein. E-cigs are NOT a tobacco product, nor do they have the many chemicals that regular cigarettes contain.

E-cigs have the nicotine to which we become addicted. People can lower their nicotine level as they are ready. Thus, they begin living a longer, healthier life.
