Our Dad, Ivor A. Bauman, 89, formerly of Kingston, was peacefully called home to be with our Mom, Genny, surrounded by family in song, on Monday, March 29, 2010.
Ivor was born May 20, 1920, in Kingston. He was a World War II Veteran, studied at the University of Idaho and taught music in Potlatch where he met our mother, Genny. They were married for 51 years. They raised their 11 children in the same home he was raised in. He retired from Bunker Hill as an accountant when it closed in 1981. Ivor and Genny were very active at St. Ritaís Parish in Kellogg. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and the VFW. His final years were spent at Park Place Retirement Community in Spokane Valley, Wash.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Phyllis and Lon Hadfield, Terry Bauman, Mary and Jim Taylor, Dave and Jan Bauman, Dorothy and John Anderson, Dianne and Bruce Tuning, Annette and Al Barril, Carol and Craig Lewis, Chris Bauman, Rob and Debbie Bauman, Karan and Jeff Tucker; 31 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2010, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 625 E. Haycraft, Coeur díAlene.
