I know Hayden Lake has been cut off from public access for many years now except Honeysuckle Beach. I raised Nicole up at Twin Lakes. I went last week just to reminisce and found no public access there, either. Even the boat ramp was plugged up with cars. The bridge looked like Checkpoint Charlie.
I can’t help but feel that if the lakes have become private, they should be paying for private services and not have the county residents pay for fire, sheriff, roads and so on. It is state law that no one owns the water or land to the high water mark. The people of Idaho own those.
