BOE: Still waiting for answers

Print Article

Ah. North Idaho Life. Keith Boe. It’s all coming together.

Earlier this year a friend (on Facebook) linked something from the North Idaho Life page. As someone who has spent a lifetime in Coeur d’Alene, I “followed” it. It wasn’t long before I’d figured out that what wasn’t reposts from other sources, was just some person’s opinion.

During my brief stay, I found one such opinion about, you guessed it, parking and the city of Coeur d’Alene. I found it uninformed and said so. I don’t recall the short banter but, not knowing who this person was, I asked if they had ever served on a City Council or any other governmental or regulatory board or commission. Had they ever sat on any civic board of directors? And, of course, how long have they lived here?

Not only did that go unanswered, it was deleted. That told me more than an answer and I wrote off any credibility there.

And it turns out that guy led the parking parade at City Council last Tuesday. And, even more so now, I think those questions are still valid.

So, Mr. Boe, I ask those questions again.

Have you ever served on a City Council or any other governmental or regulatory board or commission? Have you ever sat on any civic or community board of directors? And, how long have you lived here?

And here’s a bonus question. Was this the part you played in your former community?
