ART: Distasteful, frightening

Print Article

Thank you Mayor Widmyer for ordering that the Communist hammer and sickle “not art” piece be removed. It was very distasteful and frightening that such a thing would be put up in our lovely Cd’A.

When statues of historical characters and Christian religious symbols are being removed in our country it is especially aggravating to see something like this appear. Why is it that someone can make that, and call it art so that people are supposed to accept it? I appreciated Faye Higbee’s comments in Sunday’s paper. She is right on all counts. We don’t want to be desensitized to the trickery of socialism and Communism.
