Is there any defense for Nancy Pelosi’s tearing up the State of the Union speech? If you’re a Pelosi fan, then yes. But for others, it seems to be more gobbledy-gook answers that don’t add up.
In a CNN interview she stated, “I tore up a manifesto of mistruths.” But I haven’t heard her explain (or anyone ask for that matter) what the “mistruths” were.
Did she disagree with the unemployment numbers, the increase in wages (especially lower end wages), the reduction of illegal border crossings or welfare usage? Could she be upset that those “mistruths” were actually helping to make lives of working-class people better?
She also claimed part of her reason was based on the chant of “four more years” that broke out during the speech. But how was that Trump’s fault? Seems like a stretch.
In the end, she pointed her finger at the interviewer. She complained about being asked why she tore up the speech. Which actually makes sense. How dare the media question her actions? How is she supposed to be able to say and do whatever she wants without any real consequences? Just think if the media started asking her to explain her actions and motives. Kind of like when she was asked if she hated Trump and blew a fuse over that question too.
Wouldn’t it be a shame if she had to start working for America, instead of pushing her hate Trump agenda?
