Timberlyn Summer Short, 19, of Post Falls, was recently called to serve an 18-month mission to the Nevada Las Vegas West Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She will enter the Missionary Training Center on March 7 in Provo, Utah. Timberlyn is the daughter of Tim and Barb Short, also of Post Falls.

A 2017 graduate of Post Falls High School, Timberlyn will attend Idaho State University in Pocatello after her mission on the Presidential Scholarship. She was awarded the 2016 Idaho State Interscholastic Star. She is the 2017 Idaho State Forestry Champion and received the honor of State Solo Vocalist. Timberlyn is presently employed by Basso Construction.
