Police respond to self-inflicted gunshot wound report

SPIRIT LAKE — Spirit Lake Police responded to a report of a self-inflicted gunshot around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, a press release issued by the department states.

A juvenile female was transported to Kootenai Health. The incident is under investigation.

No further information was released by the police department.

Lakeland Joint School District officials said the incident involved a Timberlake High student. They didn't have any further information late Tuesday afternoon.
