Coeur d'Alene to host state BMX finals

COEUR d'ALENE - Cherry Hill Park on 15th Street will be the site of the USA BMX Idaho state championship finals this weekend.

BMX riders from throughout the state, as well as from Montana and Washington, are expected to compete.

Riders are expected to range in age from 2-year-olds in their strider bikes, to men and women nearing age 50.

A single point race is scheduled for Friday, with signups at 5:30 p.m. and racing at 6:30.

The state championship pre-race, offering double points, is scheduled for Saturday, following signups from 10 to 11 a.m.

Sunday's state championship finals, with triple points on the line, will follow registration from 8:30 to 9 a.m.
