Run for the Roses gala May 2

The Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center will be off to the races from 5 to 8:30 p.m. May 2 for its Kentucky Derby-themed Run for the Roses gala fundraiser.

The evening will feature a silent auction and whiskey tasting. Dinner will be prepared by a local chef. Guests are encouraged to wear their fanciest hats to partake in the Hat Parade.

Proceeds will support the JACC's "Art to Go" outreach programming. 

"The arts are so important to our community," JACC Director Darla Dreyer said in an announcement. "We are focusing on bringing the arts to veterans, children and seniors who are unable to come to the center."

Single tickets are $125.
