COEUR d'ALENE — A third suspect in a string of Coeur d'Alene automobile burglaries was arrested Friday.

The juvenile was charged with grand theft and booked into the Kootenai County Juvenile Detention Center, a press release said.

According to Coeur d'Alene police, several auto burglaries were reported in the northwest part of town Sunday and Monday.

The vehicles that were burglarized were unlocked, the press release said. The suspects took personal property, cash and a handgun.

"The information from victims and witnesses suggested three juvenile males, working together, were responsible for these incidents," the release said.

Following an investigation, two teenagers were arrested earlier this week and each was charged with one count of burglary, police said.

Police also executed search warrants for the suspects' homes and recovered some of the stolen property, including the handgun.
