Elaine G. Stanley, 85

She was born in Norristown, Pa., to Helen and Melvin Garlick on Nov. 5, 1931. She graduated from Norristown High School in 1949 and married her childhood sweetheart, Eugene Frank Stanley, in February, 1952. In her retirement years she homeschooled several grandchildren, and after moving to Coeur d’Alene to live with her daughters, volunteered at Liberty Lake Municipal Library (WA), teaching arts and crafts to children and founding a needlework society for adults.

Elaine is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, who passed away in 1982.

She is survived by her sister, Beverly Koch; her children, Pamela Mogen and her husband, Michael Mogen, Cynthia Kneeream and her husband, James Kneeream, Lynn Stanley, Eugene Stanley Jr. and his wife, Maryan, Todd Stanley, and Scott Stanley; and her grandchildren: Nathan Todd, Marcus Todd, Zachary Todd, August Stanley Sukenik, Ian Stanley, Jeremy Stanley, Ginger Stanley Volz, Rebecca Stanley Neiman, Cody Stanley, Joshua Stanley, Tarah Young and Shane Kneeream.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, at Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church, 720 E. Poplar Ave. in Coeur d’Alene, with Pastor Stuart Bryan officiating.
