Georgia M. McDonough, 80
Georgia M. McDonough, resident of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Kootenai County, passed away on Saturday Nov. 4, 2017, at Hospice of North Idaho Schneid-miller House, at the age of 80 years. Georgia was born on March 7, 1937, in Kansas, to parents Elizabeth Anna (Boyer) Kelley and Thomas William Kelley.
Georgia was married to Melvin Miller in Kansas, where they raised five children who she leaves behind; Melva, Melvin Jr., Ronald, Teresa and Lorrie. Georgia also leaves behind nine grandkids and numerous great-grandkids.
We most recently know Georgia’s companion, Paul Herrington, who was by her side for the last 15 years of her life. Paul and Georgia loved to travel and spent many of the cold North Idaho winters traveling and making memories in the warmer climates of Nevada, Arizona and California. Paul and Georgia met while dancing it up and hanging out at the different singles clubs in the area like the Hayden Eagles. They loved to camp, explore by four-wheeling, fish and they were always on the go somewhere and with others.
You could usually find Georgia around a table playing games and enjoying socializing with her many friends, family and loved ones. Georgia would rarely be found with vacant time on her hands and was always on social media and emailing with her seven siblings, keeping up with all of the family’s events.
She is survived by her siblings, Sarah, Dee, Mary, Ruth, Vesta, Vera and Tom; and many nieces and nephews who she loved seeing at the family reunions that alternated every two years between North Idaho and Kansas, which she never missed traveling to.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at Yates Funeral Homes Coeur d’Alene Chapel, 744 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene, ID, 838314.
