Judith Marie Donovan, 73

Feb. 22, 1946 — Oct. 3, 2019

Judith was born at the Ritzville Hospital, in Ritzville, Wash., to parents Darrell Mayfield and Emma Engelhardt. She attended schools in Moses Lake, Wash. Her parents were members of the Moses Lake Assembly of God church for more than 40 years. Darrell was a carpenter and he helped build the Grand Coulee Dam in the 1930s.

Judy, as she was known, was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and had a total of seven revolutionary soldiers in her family. She was a devoted religious person and was affiliated with the Assembly of God Church.

Judy loved to see her grandchildren and great-grandson, Wade. She spent most of her time as an Air Force wife of over 35 years. Judy and John were married in Coeur d’Alene, at the Hitching Post Wedding Chapel, and were joined together for 56 years of wonderful marriage.

Judy is survived by her husband, John Donovan; one sister, Joyce Schmidt and her husband, Rich, of Redmond, Ore.; three children: Michele A. Rohlinger and husband, Mitch, of Cheney, Wash.; son, John L. Donovan from Oceanside, Calif. and son, Mark K. Donovan, of Post Falls.

She also had several nieces and nephews, along with grandchildren, Brooke Donovan of Washington, Haley Donovan of Yakima, Wash.; Allison Rohlinger of Cheney, Wash. and Dawn Delmark from Alabama.

A sister, Joan Hebard, of Lake Oswego, Ore., predeceased her in 2010.

Judy will be greatly missed. She was loved by all she was in contact with and they can’t wait to see her in Heaven.

One more thing: Judy just loved cats — the more the merrier!

There will be a viewing held from 2-5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019, at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St., Post Falls, ID 83854, and a graveside service will be held at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019, at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery, 21702 W. Espanola Road, Medical Lake, WA 99022.

English Funeral Chapel, Post Falls, has been entrusted with Judy’s arrangements. Please sign her online memorial at www.englishfuneralchapel.com.
