FS opens doors Saturday for Christmas tree permits

Christmas tree cutting permits for national forest land in the Panhandle may be purchased during Saturday hours, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 7 and Dec. 14 at the Fernan Office, 2502 E. Sherman Ave., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

The district’s Silver Valley office, 173 Commerce Drive, Smelterville, Idaho, will also be open on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 8 to noon to sell tree permits.

Christmas tree permits cost $5 each, and up to three permits may be purchased per family.
