Idaho officials issued a medical update, after Vandals senior quarterback Matt Linehan left Thursday night’s game at Troy late in the fourth quarter with an injury to the thumb on his right (throwing) hand.

“With two weeks still before our next game the medical staff and coaches are exploring every option to get him healthy and on the field,” Idaho officials said.

Idaho (3-6, 2-3 Sun Belt), which lost 24-21 to Troy, doesn’t play again until Nov. 18 at home vs. Coastal Carolina.
