Thompson, an infielder/outfielder, went 4 for 4 with three RBIs in a semifinal game in the state class A American Legion baseball tournament on Sunday at Harris Field in Lewiston. Thompson’s two-run single in the sixth inning gave Coeur d’Alene a 3-2 lead. Coeur d’Alene finished third in the tournament after falling to Rocky Mountain of Meridian.
