Garcia wins Coeur d’Alene Triathlon

COEUR d’ALENE — Derek Garcia was the top overall finisher in Saturday’s Coeur d’Alene Triathlon, finishing the race in Coeur d’Alene City Park in 2 hours, 2 minutes and 1 second.

Garcia went 21:30 on the 500-yard swim, 1:00.56 on the 24.8 mile bike and 38:09 on the (6.2 mile) run, beating runner-up Shannon Horn (2:09:59). Scott Voyles was third in 2:11:56.

Meghan Faulkenberry was the top female finisher in 2:17:43.
