Jayson Ross

Coeur d’Alene Little League

Ross, a center fielder, hit .400 last week for Coeur d’Alene, which advanced to the championship game of the Northwest Regional in San Bernardino, Calif., before losing to Sprague of Salem, Ore. In an earlier tourney game vs. Sprague, Ross went 4 for 4 and stole home. “Jayson adds speed and the ability to get on base to the top of our lineup,” Coeur d’Alene manager Robin Franklin said. “He’s a great base runner and also does a great job in center field. He can run down just about anything hit. Jayson is a great kid who works hard at his craft and is always making strides to get better.”
