Irvin, a 6-foot-3, 175-pound junior quarterback, passed for 315 yards and six touchdowns for the Timberwolves in a 45-21 win over Lewis and Clark High in a nonleague game at Joe Albi Stadium in Spokane on Sept. 6. “He was making his reads, he was playing within the offense,” Lake City coach Brian Fulp said. “And when he had to improvise, he made some plays.” In Lake City’s opener vs. Madison, Irvin completed 18 of 22 passes.
