ST. MARIES — Joseph Darakjy’s header off a corner kick in the game’s final minute lifted Immaculate Conception to a 2-1 win over host St. Maries on Monday night.

The Lumberjacks took an early lead on Lance Hamblin’s goal 12 minutes into the game, off Dani Toledo’s assist. But two second-half goals carried Immaculate Conception to the win.

“We played really well in the first half, and Immaculate Conception played better than we did in the second half,” Lumberjacks coach Chris Renaldo said. “In the final seconds of the game, we left a player unmarked at point-blank range. There was nothing our keeper could do.”

St. Maries (5-5-3) concludes its regular season on Thursday at Orofino, with district tournament play beginning Monday, Oct. 14.

First half — 1. SM, Lance Hamblin (Dani Toledo), 12:00. Second half — 2. IC, Anthony Bruson (unassisted) 54:00. 3. IC, Joseph Darakjy (off corner kick), 80:00.

Shots on goal — IC 10, SM 6.

Saves — IC, Quinton Harvey 3; SM, Greyson Sands 2.
