COEUR d’ALENE — Jack Kiesbuy scored 18 points and the Lake City Timberwolves matched their win total from last season with a 62-42 victory over the North Central Indians in nonleague play on Friday night.

Zach Johnson and Seth Hanson added 11 points each for Lake City (3-1), which finished 3-17 last season.

“We played with great energy the whole night — in particular on the defensive end,” Lake City assistant coach Kelly Reed said. “The first four minutes of the first and third quarters were really solid.”

Sophomore Ayden Barnufsky hit five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 25 points for North Central (0-5).

Lake City plays at University today at 3 p.m.

Corbin Staker scored 14 points for Rogers (1-3).

COEUR d’ALENE — Malachi Bullington totaled 17 points and 15 rebounds as the host Royals defeated the Eagles in Mountain Christian League play at Holy Family Catholic School. Jake Peterson added 14 points, Jack Hill 13 for North Idaho Christian (4-1, 3-0 MCL). James Kelly had seven points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Shane Shaffer scored a game-high 25 points for Pullman Christian.

North Idaho Christian plays host to Covenant Christian on Monday at Holy Family Catholic School.
