SANDPOINT — The visiting Hawks started the night with a pin, then closed with another to beat the Bulldogs in the Battle for the Paddle spirit dual at Sandpoint High.
Jarrod Killian (220 pounds), Sam Feusier (285), Peyton Wysong (106), Alex Edelblute (126), Colton Dow (138), Ryan Quimby (170) and John White (195) had pins for Lakeland, which competes in the Van Tuinstra Memorial Duals tournament today starting at 9 a.m. at Timberlake High.
“The kids came out and wrestled hard,” Lakeland coach Rob Edelblute said. “It’s a pretty wild night with the crowd and the fans, but I was happy with the kids’ performance. We couldn’t hear ourselves and put some kids in the lineup that we normally don’t have in there, but it was a fun night, a great, great time. It’s a blast and good for the sport.”
