Man dies week after crash

An Athol man involved in a Sept. 4 crash died Sept. 11, according to a Monday notice from the Idaho State Police.

The ISP reported that Robert K. Den Hoed, 56, was riding his 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle on U.S. 95 and taking the exit at the milepost 446 off-ramp when he failed to negotiate a right-hand curve.

Den Hoed went off the left side of the ramp and was ejected into the roadway," ISP said. He was not wearing a helmet.

Den Hoed was transported to Kootenai Health and died Sept. 11.

An investigation continues.
