Inland Northwest Opera announces 2022 season

Inland Northwest Opera has announced the lineup for its 22nd season in 2022.

• June 21 to July 1

Opera-tunities: An educational program will tour the Inland Northwest, bringing "Carmen and the Bull" to public parks. Arranged by Elise LaBarge and the Union Avenue Opera Education Ensemble, this opera combines the beloved children's story of Ferdinand the Bull with music from Bizet's "Carmen" to share the timeless theme: "Be true to yourself."

• July 17 and 18

"Opera on the Lake: Don Pasquale"

Don Pasquale offers a suitable match for his nephew, Ernesto, only to be rebuffed. In his desire to disinherit Ernesto, he is thrust into a mad plot that becomes his worst nightmare. Audiences will enjoy this delightful comedy aboard a sunset cruise on Lake Coeur d’Alene. Sung in English with English dialogue.

• Aug. 18

Annual Gala: "Fly away to Casablanca"

Save the date for a trip to Casablanca, where community opera will be celebrated with special guest artists Madison Leonard and Shea Owens. Enjoy an evening of casino games, arias and cocktails mixed by artistic director Dan Wallace Miller, as well as a Moroccan-inspired meal.

Single tickets are $125 and tables of eight are available for $1,000.

Mainstage: "La Traviata"
