COEUR d'ALENE — Two teenagers were arrested Tuesday in connection to recent automobile burglaries in Coeur d'Alene.

According to the Coeur d'Alene Police Department, several auto burglaries were reported in the northwest part of town Sunday and Monday.

The vehicles that were burglarized were unlocked, a press release said. The suspects took personal property, cash and a handgun. It was also believed the suspects entered a home under construction and caused a significant amount of damage.

"The information from victims and witnesses suggested three juvenile males, working together, were responsible for these incidents," the release said.

Detectives canvased the areas where the crimes occurred and contacted witnesses, victims and residents.

With the information provided, detectives identified all three juvenile males, the release said. Police also executed search warrants for the suspects' homes and recovered some of the stolen property, including the handgun.

Two juvenile males were arrested on one count of auto burglary each.

An investigation continues.

Police thanked citizens who helped with this investigation.

"All of the information provided, especially video evidence, was key to identifying and charging these suspects," the release said.
