Concealed weapons permits to be issued from driver's license offices

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday that changes have been made to the issuance of concealed weapon permits.

CWPs will no longer be issued out of the KCSO main office on Government Way, but instead will be issued through both driver’s license offices in Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls, a press release said.

CWP applicants need to use the Qless App or KCSO website to make an appointment. 

Also listed on the website are instructions on how to apply, what documentation you will need, and a link to required forms. There are no “walk-in” appointments available for CWP applications.
