Designers, artists, models, lights, cameras and an abundance of action will color the Lake City in bold and creative choices when Coeur d'Alene Fashion Week returns this weekend through Friday, March 22.

"There are different facets about a fashion show that don't even have to do with fashion or making clothes," Coeur d'Alene Fashion Week Executive Producer Kaitlyn Widmyer said Thursday. “It’s really just establishing that kind of trade mentality for the arts and putting a production together."

Festivities begin at 9 p.m. Saturday with a pre-party fundraiser at Backwoods Whiskey Bar, 1920 E. Sherman Ave. Guests 21 and older are welcome to attend as organizers announce their initiatives for Fashion Week's sixth season.

An online book drive will be held through March 22. Participants are encouraged to help fill the fashion section at the Coeur d'Alene Public Library via social media. Search @cdafashionweek on Instagram and TikTok for details.

The Emerging Designers Fashion Show will be Friday, March 22 at the Coeur d'Alene Library, 702 E. Front Ave. Doors open at 4:15 p.m. The show will feature 30 models and fashions from nine local designers and boutiques. Tickets are free, but guests must register on the library's website: cdalibrary.org

The Fashion Show After Party will be at Backwoods Whiskey Bar at 9 p.m. following the show. Craft cocktails selected by Fashion Week crew members will be served. Part of the proceeds will contribute to Coeur d'Alene Fashion Week's community efforts.
